Garmin G1000
The Garmin G1000 is an all-glass avionics suite that seamlessly integrates flight information for an easier scan and enhanced situational awareness. Built-in terrain and navigation databases, provide a clear, concise picture of where you are and where you're heading. G1000's revolutionary design brings new levels of simplicity and safety to the cockpit - revolutionizing the general aviation market.

G1000 replaces traditional mechanical gyroscopic flight instruments with Garmin's reliable GRS77 Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS). AHRS provides accurate, digital output and referencing of your aircraft position, rate, vector and acceleration data. It's even able to restart and properly reference itself while your aircraft is moving.

G1000 also includes the GFC 700, the first entirely new autopilot designed and certified for the 21st century. The GFC 700 is capable of using all data available to G1000 to navigate, including the ability to maintain airspeed references and optimize performance.

G1000 Ground School
The G1000 Ground School will include all components of the system. The course will highlight the advanced in cockpit integration and demonstrate how to best use the system both in the air and on the ground. The course will also explore instrument operations with the G1000 through a pilot's-eye-view.

Cost - $50
The G1000 Ground School is $50 and includes Sporty's Flying the Garmin G1000 on DVD (A $25 value!) and other supporting materials.
